HIVES OUTDOOR 13X22,5X7,5cm - MUTINA KGHOUT01 01

Hives consists of a single module: a hexagonal brick, crafted from terracottaan ancient material whose color, texture, and properties are preservedusing the artisanal wire-drawing technique. In designing this module, Konstantin Grcic was inspired by beehives, nature's most efficient constructions, potentially infinitely expandable. The result is a functional 3D element with an organic geometry, available in a single format measuring 13x22.5x7 cm. Hives can be used both indoors and outdoors, provided it is covered, and can be installed in a variety of ways to create contemporary and innovative solutions. The bricks can be installed either vertically, to create room dividers, or horizontally. Positioned this way, aligned or staggered, they create curved walls for the construction of architectural elements and furnishings, such as columns, counters, or table legs.
