The City Collection by KPF is the result of a collaboration with Casalgrande Padana, with the aim of creating a new collection of porcelain stoneware tiles for a wide range of interior applications. Inspired by four cities with which KPF has a long-standing relationship, and in which it has worked on various buildings and neighborhoods over the years, The City Collection is available in four texturesHong Kong, London, New York, and Shanghaiin a 60x120 cm format, 9 mm thick, and with a natural surface. The City Collection was born from the desire to create a series of porcelain stoneware tiles that represent the subjective experience of each place, with references to the character, materials, urban forms, and texture of these fantastic cities. The patterns and textures are the result of research into the nature of each city, on various levels, and a subsequent process of simplification and abstraction to achieve surfaces resembling natural materials.
