The name Porfido porphyry derives from ancient Greek and means purple, a common color in this type of rock, along with red, brown, and gray, which inspire the Porfirica collection. Porphyry is a magmatic material formed by the cooling of a lava flow, which creates a structure known as "porphyritic," which also includes minerals and crystalline elements. This distinctive characteristic is reproduced in two graphic versions: a fine-grained version inspired by the original stone, and a coarse-grained agglomerate version. Coem's stone-effect porcelain stoneware restores the prestige and value of this stone thanks to three surface finishes: natural, polished, and for outdoor flooring, with five intense colors and a dual texture for creative new compositions on floors and walls.
